Product description
2K lightweight polyester putty with very good sanding properties developed for filling dents and damage on body parts made of steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, and minor scratches in plastic.
When used on galvanized surfaces, use a hardener that is no more than 12 months old. Some galvanized brands may require the surface to be cleaned with ammonia wash or alternatively sealed with 2K epoxy primer, so if in doubt, perform a test first.

Pretreatment
Clean the surface before sanding.
Use warm soapy water, rinse with warm water.
Sand away any paint down to the bare metal surface with P180 – P240,
or scuff sand without going through any paint layer.
Before filling, clean and degrease the surface with a suitable
degreasing agent (Silicone remover). -
Application
Apply the putty to the metal surface. Avoid thick putty edges around the damage; smooth the edges with the putty spatula.
Do not apply Filltec Light directly on old sanded paint surfaces or on acid-containing Washprimer.
For systems that are to meet the highest quality requirements regarding corrosion protection, Filltec Light should always be applied on 2K Epoxy primer (e.g., SprayMax 2K Epoxy primer). -
After treatment
By hand: P120 – P180
Use control color.
With machine: P240 – P320. P400 for sanding during spot repair.
Check that there are no deep sanding scratches on the surface after sanding. Before spraying primer, filler, or surfacer, clean and degrease the substrate with a suitable degreasing agent. Avoid letting filled surfaces come into direct contact with water (e.g., water-based degreasing agents).
