Additional information

Product information
  • Product description
Clear two-component water-diluted epoxy resin binder and sealant suitable for concrete, wood, fiberboards, and the like. Floor impregnation is permeable to air humidity. Used on roofs as a primer for factory-treated Eternit and Minerit boards.
  • Area of application
Hagmans Floor Impregnation EP-V is primarily intended for concrete floors but can also be used on floors made of wood and fiberboard. Suitable for dust binding of new concrete floors (1 treatment) or impregnation (2 treatments). Since the product has good diffusion properties, it is suitable for treating ground floors. Also used as a primer (1 treatment) for factory-painted Eternit and Minerit boards before painting with Hagmans Roof Coating Paint. This is to ensure adhesion and prevent blistering.
Technical information
  • Application temperature

During application and drying, the temperature of both the substrate and the ambient air must be between +12 °C and +30 °C. At the time of application, the paint itself should be at a temperature between +15 °C and +25 °C. Ensure good ventilation so that the water can evaporate before the paint cures. If the relative humidity exceeds 85%, there is a risk that the surface will become matte and patchy.

  • Density

    A: 1.05, B: 1.24, Mixed: 1.18 kg/l

  • Drying time

Count on about 10 hours at +15°C

  • Flammability

    Non-flammable

  • Gloss

    Approx. 80, blank

  • Material consumption

1 kg is enough for about 8 m².

  • Potlife

    2 hours

  • Re-paintable

The lacquer can be recoated after 12 hours at +15°C, however, do not wait longer than a maximum of 24 hours. This applies to both floors and ceilings. The finished painted floor can be used after about 24 hours and reaches full wear resistance after 5-7 days.

  • Shelf life

    2 years

  • Vapor diffusion (sd)

Permeable to water in vapor form.

  • Weight Solids

    53% 1 coat provides approx. 50 μm

Application
  • Instructions for use

    Mixing ratio:
Comp. A 3 parts by weight
Comp. B 7 parts by weight
Dilution: Dilute with 10-20% water when priming on absorbent substrates.

  • Pretreatment

The surface must be clean, dry, and firm. Wash with Hagmans Roof/facade cleaner (do not use a pressure washer) and, if necessary, wire brush and scrape the surface to be renovated. Allow the roof to dry thoroughly before painting. New concrete floors must have cured for at least 1 week.

  • Application

Application with a brush or roller. Ensure good ventilation so that the water evaporates before the lacquer cures. At humidity above 85%, a matte and streaky surface may occur. Two coats are required to achieve even gloss on porous surfaces. Small quantities, up to about 1 kg, can be mixed by hand with a rectangular stirring stick. Larger quantities should be mixed with an electric or air-driven machine mixer, e.g., a low-speed drill with a suitable mixing paddle. Splash protection is recommended.
Brushes and other equipment are cleaned in water.
    Use protective gloves.
