Carosol Rust Converter neutralizes the corrosion process. It reacts quickly with rust and converts the iron oxide into a stable and insoluble metal-organic layer that provides protection against further rust formation.

Spills should be washed off with water before the Rust Converter has dried. Most common paints for metal can be used on top of Carosol Rust Converter. If in doubt, test on another surface first. However, putty and Carosol Rust Converter do not always work together; test on another surface first.

Carosol Rust Converter consists of a water-based polymer intended to be used on rusty metal surfaces before painting.

Surfaces to be treated must be well cleaned of dirt, grease, and loose rust. Heavily rusted surfaces should be scraped, wire brushed, or sanded. Shake the bottle.

Carosol Rust Converter is applied and worked into the rusty surface with a brush. The temperature during application should be between +5°C and +40°C. Repainting can be done no earlier than 3 hours after the chemical reaction is complete. This can be seen when the surface has acquired a bluish-black color. Do not wait longer than 48 hours before painting over the surface. After 48 hours, the surface needs to be scuffed for primer or undercoat to adhere. NOTE! Carosol Rust Converter is not paint, so the surface must be painted over with a protective layer.
