Hagmans Floor Paint EP-V Quick is primarily intended for concrete floors but can also be used on floors made of wood or fiberboard. Technical information
  • Application temperature

During application and drying, the temperature of both the substrate and the ambient air must be between +12 °C and +30 °C. At the time of application, the paint itself should be at a temperature between +15 °C and +25 °C. Ensure good ventilation so that the water can evaporate before the paint cures. If the relative humidity exceeds 85%, there is a risk that the surface will become matte and patchy.

  • Pretreatment

New concrete floors must have cured for at least 1 week, be dry and free from dirt, oil, and similar substances. The cement film must be removed by, for example, diamond grinding, sandblasting, or acid washing. When repainting existing paint, the surface must be dull sanded and all loose paint removed.

  • Application

With a brush or roller. Should be applied in two coats. Ensure good ventilation so that the water evaporates before the paint cures. At humidity above 85%, a matte and blotchy surface may occur. Small amounts, up to about 1 kg, can be mixed by hand with a rectangular stirring stick. Larger amounts should be mixed with an electric or pneumatic mixer, for example a low-speed drill with a suitable mixing paddle. Splash protection is recommended.

  • After painting

Sometimes certain rubber compounds in tires can cause plasticizer migration on waterborne paint or lacquer. On lighter colors, this can be perceived as yellowish marks.
