Pretreatment
The surface must be clean, dry, and firm. Wire brush, scrape, or sand the surface and remove loose, porous, and decayed wood. Wash with Hagmans Deck Cleaner and supplement with Hagmans Algae/Mold Free on mold- or fungus-infected surfaces. Rinse thoroughly with water.
-
Application
Apply with a brush, sponge, or cloth until the wood is saturated. After 5-10 minutes, wipe off any excess. Repeat the treatment if necessary. If rain is expected within a day, the treatment should be avoided.
-
After painting
Wipe the tools carefully before cleaning in paint thinner/aliphatic solvent. Close the can tightly after use and keep out of reach of children.
NOTE! Cloths soaked in oil can be self-igniting and must therefore be burned or placed in water.
