Product description
AdBlue is a reducing agent – basically a urea solution with a very high purity – that reduces nitrogen oxide in exhaust gases. In addition to reducing nitrogen oxide, the catalyst technology also removes a large proportion of the particles in diesel exhaust, while also reducing fuel consumption. AdBlue is a colorless urea/water solution that is neither toxic nor flammable. AdBlue freezes at -11°C and should therefore be stored at temperatures above -11°C. If it freezes, it can be used again after it has thawed. It should also be protected from direct sunlight as it can separate due to excessive heat and after that, it becomes unusable. Shelf life is at least 12-18 months depending on storage temperature after the production date. 10L containers may have different appearances for the jug and spout, but a spout is always included with 5 & 10 Liter containers. -
Area of application
Starta AdBlue is used in passenger cars and trucks with SCR technology (Selective Catalytic Reduction). In all passenger cars with diesel engines with EURO 6 emissions standards and trucks from EURO 4 onwards, AdBlue is required. Starta AdBlue® meets the requirements of all engine manufacturers according to ISO 22241-1. AdBlue is filled into a separate tank on the vehicle and must never be mixed with the diesel fuel. -
