  • Pretreatment

The filler should only be used on dry and well-cleaned surfaces free from grease, oil, dirt, and the like. Degrease with, for example, Hagmans Silicone Remover S and wipe off. Once this is done, the metal and the extent of the paint damage are checked. For rust damage, sand the surface with coarse P80 grit. For the best final result, sand as small an area as possible. Since the best rust protection is applied to the car during factory assembly, if the damage is of such a nature, you should avoid sanding down to bare metal. Roughen the surface with P180–240 grit to avoid damaging the galvanization. After sanding, degrease the surface again.

  • Application

Steel plastic FIne is applied with a metal or rubber spatula. The best working temperature is +20°C. The working time is then about 3-4 minutes and the putty can be sanded after about 12-15 minutes. After use, the working tools are cleaned with thinner or ethyl acetate.

  • After treatment

After about 12-15 minutes at +20°C, the putty, if desired, is ready to be sanded. With sandpaper P180-grit or finer, the hardened plastic can be sanded smooth. Finish with P320-grit or finer to avoid sanding marks in the subsequent treatment.
