Fasadfärg Titan

Hagmans Facade Paint Titan is a self-cleaning and easy-to-apply facade paint that provides an extremely durable result and color stability. Specifically designed for Nordic climates, with a unique hybrid combination of polyurethane alkyd and acrylic, the surface gains excellent flexibility, minimal water absorption, and maximum dirt repellency.

The paint can be applied to new wood or wood surfaces that have previously been painted with oil paint or acrylic. The paint provides a semi-gloss finish and is excellent for painting all types of outdoor wood surfaces, such as facades, fences, carports, and sheds.

Always start by reading through the instructions on the paint can and remember to be meticulous from the beginning. Good tools and careful preparation are necessary for a successful painting result. Stir the paint well from the bottom before you start painting. Air and surface temperature are also important for the final result; do not paint if it is colder than +8°C. Check that the surface is dry before painting, with a maximum moisture content of 16%. Do not paint on sun-heated surfaces or if there is a risk of rain within the next 24 hours or dew within 1-2 hours after painting is finished. Old linseed oil/linseed oil paint can cause linseed oil blisters. The surface must be clean, dry, and solid.

Untreated wood that has been outdoors for more than 4 weeks shall be washed and disinfected, and loose wood fibers shall be removed. Then prime the entire surface including end grain with 1 coat of Utegrund Kombi; this exterior primer is a combination of primer oil and exterior primer.

Previously painted surfaces: wash with products intended for cleaning before painting and let dry thoroughly. In case of fungal or algae infestation, the surface shall be treated with Hagmans Algtvätt. Loose paint and loose wood fibers shall be scraped/steel-brushed off. Prime clean wood surfaces.

Finish paint with two coats of Fasadfärg Titan with the recommended drying time in between. Use a dense brush and work the paint well into the wood.

Seal the can tightly after use and store frost-free out of the reach of children. Liquid paint residues should not be poured into the drain but taken to the local recycling center.

For maintenance, a soft scrubbing brush moistened with water and possibly Hagmans maintenance detergent is used as needed.
