Additional information

Product information
  • Product description
HP Binder LT consists of solvent-free 2-component colorless epoxy.
  • Area of application
The product is primarily intended for use on concrete and cement substrates. Through the combination of colorless HP Binder and colored sand, there are extensive coloring possibilities. This type of coating was often used in the food industry and commerce where wear resistance is required combined with water and chemical resistance.
Technical information
  • Density

    1.1 kg/l

  • Drying time

A minimum floor temperature of +15°C is required to achieve the best coating property. The floor can be walked on after 1 day and reaches full strength after 7 days.

  • Gloss

80 The gloss value depends on how much lacquer is applied.

  • Material consumption

    Approx. 0.3 kg/m2 HP Binder A + B.

  • Potlife

    35 minutes

  • Shelf life

    2 years

Application
  • Blandningstabell

    Comp. A 8.244 kg weight parts = 68.7 weight %
    Comp. B 3.756 kg weight parts = 31.3 weight %
Color sand approx. 72 weight parts.
Mix components A and B thoroughly before the filler materials are added. When mixing a divided package, the material must be weighed in.

  • Instructions for use

HP Binder is delivered only uncolored (clear). Color sand is available in various standard colors, see Hagmans color chart.

  • Mixing ratio

    Comp A 8.244 kg weight parts = 68.7 weight%
    Comp B 3.756 kg weight parts = 31.3 weight%

  • Pretreatment

New concrete floors shall cure for at least 3 weeks and be dry before the flooring work begins. The cement skin is removed by diamond grinding, blasting, or milling. Existing floors are thoroughly cleaned by washing before blasting and milling. HP Binder can be used as a primer.

  • Application

With a brush or rubber squeegee in combination with a felt roller. To efficiently distribute the varnish over larger surfaces, we recommend roughly spreading the varnish with a double-edged foam rubber squeegee. This type of rubber squeegee has been shown to follow small irregularities in the substrate better than the corresponding model in homogeneous rubber. By quickly roughly distributing the varnish on the substrate, one avoids heat buildup in the can, which can cause too rapid curing and blistering. The varnish should be mixed with an electric or air-powered machine mixer, e.g., a low-speed drill with a suitable mixing paddle. Splash protection is recommended.
