Spärrgrund

Hagmans Spärrgrund is a waterborne blocking primer for wood or wallpaper.

Used indoors on untreated or previously treated wood to reduce the risk of discoloration from knots, lignin, old yellowed wood, etc. Can be overpainted with waterborne paint, for example Hagmans Floor Paint EP-V or Hagmans Floor Paint 1K. The product can also be used as a wallpaper barrier.

The surface must be clean and dry. Previously painted surfaces should be washed with paint cleaner and lightly sanded.

Apply with a roller or brush in 1-2 coats depending on the risk of bleeding. Always apply two coats over knots on untreated wood or if the substrate is heavily discolored. Note that the primer must dry for at least 8 hours between each application. On heavily discolored substrates, the first coat may become discolored, but this is fixed once the paint film has dried, so the risk of further bleeding is minimal.
