Stir the oil well from the bottom before you start painting.
Air and surface temperature are just as important for the final result as ensuring the paint is not cold. Do not paint if any of the mentioned parameters are colder than +5°C.
The surface must be clean, dry, and firm. Wash previously painted surfaces with paint cleaner and rinse with water. If the surface is affected by mold, it must be treated with a suitable disinfectant.
Apply evenly with a dense brush. Primer oil is also very suitable for dipping, where possible. Especially for end grain, before assembly, this is an effective method. The oil should penetrate the wood well without forming a film. Avoid shiny spots on knots and saturated wood by wiping off any excess oil with a cloth dampened with water. Be especially careful with joints and end grain.
Wipe the tools thoroughly before cleaning them in water with added dish soap. Close the container tightly after use and store it out of the reach of children. Liquid oil residues should not be poured down the drain but should be taken to the local recycling center.
NOTE! Cloths soaked with base oil can self-ignite and must therefore be rendered harmless by placing them in water or by burning them.
