Application
  • Instructions for use

To apply a surface that should have higher wear resistance, be paintable on concrete with elevated moisture content, and provide a non-slip surface, such as in parking garages, the following procedure is used:
New concrete floors should have cured for at least one week, be dry, and free from dirt, oil, etc. The cement skin should be removed, for example, by diamond grinding. If grinding has been done, there is a high risk that hidden pores (pinholes) have been exposed, which will cause blisters or craters in the coating. Always prime clean concrete once with DiffuOne diluted with 15% water. Then wait 2 hours before applying the coating.
Distribute the material with a notched trowel with rounded perforations to achieve approximately 3 kg/m². Sprinkle or blow out (blasting gun/battery-powered leaf blower) 0.5–1 kg/m² bauxite (hardest) or DK sand, colored sand with a grain size of 0.5–1.4 mm. This should be done within 30 minutes.

  • Pretreatment

New concrete floors shall have cured for at least one week, be dry and free from dirt, oil, etc. The cement laitance shall be removed, for example by diamond grinding. If grinding has been done, there is a high risk that hidden pores (pinholes) have been exposed, which will cause blisters or craters in the coating. To avoid this, priming one or two times with DiffuOne diluted with 15% water is required. Then wait 2 hours and inspect the floor, looking for pinholes. If the surface looks good, the coating can be applied.
When repainting existing paint, the surface shall be washed with Hagmans Floor Cleaner and lightly sanded with a floor machine using a black sanding pad (3M) or with a sanding mesh (80), and all loose paint shall be removed.

  • Application

Always wear protective clothing and eye protection. Components A and B should be mixed thoroughly. An electric or pneumatic mixer should be used, e.g., a low-speed drill with a suitable mixing paddle. Be careful and never divide the batches.

Pour the mixture onto the floor. Spread the mixture with a notched trowel with rounded indentations (approx. 3 kg/m²). Use a spiked roller within 3-30 minutes after application.

The coated surface can be exposed to light foot traffic after about 20 hours and vehicle traffic after about 3 days (depending on temperature). The product is fully cured after 7 days. The floor temperature must not fall below +10°C.

If a higher gloss is desired on the coating, the floor paint EP-V can be applied as a top coat.
