Starta HydTrans 80W has very high thermal stability and good EP properties, which allows the oil to lubricate and protect the transmission even under very heavy loads. Starta HydTrans 80W has good viscosity properties at low temperatures, prevents foaming, has good filterability, high oxidation stability, and provides good protection against corrosion. Starta HydTrans 80W has very good lubricating ability and is friction-modifying to ensure the correct sliding friction for clutches and "wet brakes," i.e., oil-immersed brakes.

Starta HydTrans 80W is a combined transmission and hydraulic oil specially designed for tractors and wheel loaders that require a “Universal Tractor Transmission Oil” (UTTO). Starta HydTrans 80W has friction properties adapted for tractors where the brakes operate in an oil bath (so-called “wet brakes”).
