Additional information

Product information
  • Product description
    Two-component waterborne epoxy paint.
  • Area of application
For painting new, old, or previously painted concrete surfaces. Recommended for painting floors that are exposed to moderate chemical and mechanical stress in industrial facilities, warehouses, workshops, etc. The product is also suitable for painting concrete walls.
Technical information
  • Application temperature

During application and drying, the temperature of both the substrate and the ambient air must be between +12 °C and +30 °C. At the time of application, the paint itself should be at a temperature between +15 °C and +25 °C. Ensure good ventilation so that the water can evaporate before the paint cures. If the relative humidity exceeds 85%, there is a risk that the surface will become matte and patchy.

  • Binder

    Epoxy

  • Colour

    Closest NCS: White – S0502-Y, Light Gray – S2500-N, Gray – S3500-N, Medium Gray – S4502-Y, Gray Blue – S3502-B, Black – S9000-N

  • Completely dry

    At +23°C: about 7 days

  • Density

Component A 1.05, Component B 1.29 Mixing ratio: Component A 3 parts by weight, Component B 7 parts by weight

  • Dilution

    Water (15%)

  • Drying time

Allow about 10 hours of curing time before the next coat. However, do not wait longer than 24 hours.

  • Dust dry

    At +23°C: about 6 hours

  • Flammability

    Non-flammable

  • Gloss

    Approx. 80 blank

  • Material consumption

Approx. 0.12 kg/coating. Average coverage: Primer: 1 kg is enough for 5-7 m². Topcoat: 1 kg is enough for 6-8 m². The actual coverage is affected by the porosity and smoothness of the substrate as well as the application method.

  • Potlife

    2 hours

  • Re-paintable

    At +23°C: about 10 hours

  • Shelf life

    2 years. Store frost-free

  • Vapor diffusion

Permeable to water in vapor form, ISO 7783

  • Weight Solids

    53%

Application
  • Instructions for use

Thinning: Approximately 10-20% water when priming on absorbent surfaces. First stir the base and hardener separately. Mix the correct proportions of the components for at least 4 minutes to obtain a homogeneous mixture. Insufficient mixing or incorrect mixing ratio will result in uneven drying of the surface, weaken the coating's properties, or cause application failure. The total thickness of the paint film should be at least 100 µm, applied in 2 coats.

  • Pretreatment

New concrete floors must have cured for at least 1 week, be dry, and free from dirt, oil, and the like. The cement skin must be removed by, for example, diamond grinding, blasting, or acid washing. When repainting existing paint, the surface must be lightly sanded, and all loose paint must be removed. After mechanical preparation, loose material and dust must be carefully removed with a vacuum cleaner. The substrate must have a tensile strength of at least 1.5 MPa. When applying to cement-based leveling compounds, their compatibility with thermosetting plastic must first be checked.

  • Application

With a brush or roller. Should be applied in two coats. Ensure good ventilation so that the water evaporates before the paint hardens. At humidity above 85%, a matt and streaky surface may occur. Small amounts, up to about 1 kg, can be mixed by hand with a rectangular stirring stick for at least 2 minutes. Larger amounts should be mixed for at least 4 minutes with an electric or pneumatic machine mixer, e.g., a low-speed drill with a suitable mixing blade. Splash protection is recommended.

  • After painting

Rubber compounds can cause plasticizer migration on water-based paint or varnish. On lighter colors, this can be perceived as yellowish marks.
