Additional information

Product information
  • Product description
Häftprimer EP is a solvent-free 2-component epoxy primer with good adhesion, even to slightly damp surfaces and to dense substrates.
  • Area of application
Priming with Häftprimer EP seals the substrate's pores and ensures the adhesion of subsequent painting or coating. Weak and porous substrates can be surface-strengthened with Häftprimer EP. By adding Microtalk, a smooth putty is easily mixed. Leveling compound with self-leveling properties is produced by mixing Häftprimer EP A + B-comp. and Epoxifiller. Repair mortar for load-bearing, leveling of depressions, and slope construction is produced by mixing Häftprimer EP and JP sand.
Technical information
  • Application temperature

    at least +5°C

  • Material consumption

    approx. A + B = 0.3 kg/m2

  • Potlife

    35 min

  • Ready-to-use after:

After approximately 10 hours at +15°C floor temperature, subsequent painting or coating can be carried out. Use nail shoes. Walk-dry after approximately 15 hours. If there is uncertainty about whether painting or coating can be carried out within 28 hours, fine sand should be sprinkled on the fresh Primer EP to ensure adhesion.

  • Shelf life

    2 years

  • Special properties

    A company = 1.13 B company = 1.01

  • Weight Solids

    100%

Application
  • Instructions for use

    Mixing ratio:
Comp. A 65 parts by weight
Comp. B 35 parts by weight

  • Pretreatment

The floor surfaces should be cleaned of dirt, oil, and similar substances. The cement skin and loose (poorly bonded) material are removed by grinding, blasting, milling, or chipping.

  • Application

For priming, the mixed Häftprimern EP is applied with a brush, roller, or rubber squeegee. A combination where the material is first distributed with the squeegee and then rolled with a felt roller. For leveling, the leveling compound is spread with a straightedge or steel trowel. Rolling afterwards with a spiked roller is recommended. For repairs, the repair mortar is distributed and smoothed with a steel trowel. On larger surfaces, a dosing box and troweling machine are used. Small amounts, up to about 1 kg, can be mixed by hand with a rectangular stirring stick. Larger quantities should be mixed with an electric or pneumatic mixer, e.g., a low-speed drill with a suitable mixing paddle. Splash protection is recommended.
